Anita Bell, DO, Fellow

I received my undergraduate degree from Alma College prior to starting medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I stayed in the area to complete my Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency through Michigan State/Sparrow Hospital. I am now starting my two-year fellowship training in Interventional Spine, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and Sports Medicine. I enjoy international travel, live music, playing video/board games, and spending time with my friends, family, husband, and cat.

Monica Barnes, DO, Fellow

I attended the University of Michigan for my undergraduate education and completed medical school and PM&R residency at Michigan State University. I am a first year fellow in a two year training program in Interventional Spine, EMG, and Sports Medicine. I enjoy hiking, crafting, reading fantasy/science fiction novels, board games, and spending time with my husband and dog. 

Drew Parkhurst, DO, ATC, Fellow

I received my undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at Michigan State University working with varsity football, men’s soccer, and women’s volleyball teams.  Prior to returning to Michigan State for medical school & residency, I was the certified athletic trainer for the women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse teams at the University of Denver.  I am in the first year of a two-year fellowship in electromyography, interventional spine, and sports medicine.  My wife and I enjoy traveling, hiking, cycling, and playing with our german shepherd we rescued.
